Austin, TX

Zilker Gardens

Thea goes to practice with her music group and I go to take pictures. It seems like an equitable trade-off to me. This trip, Austin had experienced more rain than anyone could remember so the river was running really high and all the gates were open. I found that out because I couldn’t initially find the place. I wound up parking under a bridge and walking through the Hartman Prehistoric Garden. I did eventually find the front gate but only because the back gate, i.e. the gate I came in, was locked and those of us who came in that way were forced to walk the city-block back around to our cars.
