There’s an additional feature that I rediscovered that I had been missing since my ZenWatch went down. Unique watch faces.
The Versa did have a few dozen templates that it could show off. It gave you the opportunity to customize. But you weren’t able to really personalize it except by adding an image to the watchface.
The WyzeWatch is the same way.
But the ZenWatch and (now) the Galaxy Watch4 are able to be personalize to the nth degree.
To achieve this amazing feature on the ZenWatch, I had purchased an Android app called Watchmaker. I say ‘purchased’ but we all know that I mean that I ‘licensed’ the indefinite installation of the app on any device that I registered as mine in the Google pantheon of databases through the Play Store. So while I had originally purchased and used Watchmaker on my Samsung S7, the app had moved over and been continuously updated on my S9. So when I synched my watch to my phone, the Watchmaker app let me know that it could see my new Galaxy Watch and it had faces that I could upload to it.
Some of these I can’t take full credit on. There’s a forum where faces are uploaded and traded. But each has been customized to a degree for my personal preferences.
The last one there is my personal favorite right now. 24 hour outer ring with sunrise, noon and sunset markings. Minutes and seconds in the next band. Day/Date, temperature and the last heart-rate check. Then the innermost is the moon phase.
