Pre-Operative Diagnosis: cholelithiasis
Lab Diagnosis: Chronic cholecystitis, cholesterosis, cholelithiasis.
Gross Description : The specimen consists of a 7 x 3.9 x 1.7 cm collapsed gallbladder with a patent cystic duct that has a diameter of 0.5 cm. The serosa is yellow-orange to tan-red, soft, smooth to focally. wrinkled and glistening. It has a fatty appearance. The lumen contains a small amount of yellow-orange, thick, translucent, liquid bile and a single ovoid, yellow-green, nodular stone that is 1.3 cm in greatest dimension. The mucosa is yellow-orange, soft, velvety and glistening with multiple yellow flecks covering the surface. There is a wall thickness up to 1.1 cm.
