This was our fifth day in Toronto and I still had some bucket list items that I needed to take care of. Fortunately, they were within walking distance of our hotel, each other, and our next destination. From our hotel, it was only a two block walk to the Old City Hall, New City Hall and a fifteen minute walk to the Art Gallery of Ontario.
After the whirlwind of our previous day, the late-start and slow-pace of a fine art museum was especially welcome. The AGO architecture was very slick and modern. I didn’t really capture it as well as I had hoped. But then again, they had a fantastic Henry Moore exhibit which I think I did pretty well in. Even though, in all, I think about a quarter of the Gallery was being renovated, it took most of the day just to get through what we did.
I would have like to have been able to do better on the model boats. But everything was against anyone taking good pictures down there. All the indirect lights and curved glass and tight spacing. Even my eyes were having a hard time seeing a lot of the features. I was glad that I brought my 90 macro with me to get the miniature guns.
