I have to say that I’m not very satisfied with these images. They are out of focus. They are a bit noisy. But they are an attempt to capture a rarity. And for all that’s wrong with them, they are still okay. Every camera has its peculiarities. And every lens as well. This was my Nikon D7000 with the Nikkor 70-300mm. Shot at f5.6 and ISO 1600. For some reason,at ISO 800 the whole sky was red hued. And at ISO 400 the moon moved too far during the exposure. Nothing I did could convince my auto-focus to get any better than this. Then again, it was so dark that I couldn’t get any better manually either. That’s what I’ll really take away from this. Lunar eclipses are bloody dark.
